ALICE member Sohee will be retiring from the entertainment industry after getting married. The 24-year-old singer is set to wed a businessman 15 years her senior, according to a report by Korean media outlets on April 26.
A representative for Sohee confirmed the news, stating that the couple plans to register their marriage next month and hold a small ceremony with close friends and family later this year.
Sohee’s exclusive contract with IOK Company, ALICE’s current management agency, expires in May, and she has decided not to renew it. “Sohee brought up her marriage plans while discussing the expiration of her exclusive contract with the agency,” the representative said. “She has decided not to renew her contract and will retire from the entertainment industry as soon as she gets married.”
Born in 1999, Sohee first rose to fame in 2016 after appearing on SBS’s “K-Pop Star 6: The Last Chance.” She made her debut with ALICE later that year.
The representative added that the other ALICE members have “remaining contract terms” and that it is “not yet time to disclose anything about their group activities.”
