On July 6th, a teaser video for Jin’s solo content, “Run Seokjin,” was shared on the official BTS channel. The video features Jin’s tough climb up Mount Hallasan on Jeju Island.
After leaving the military on June 12th, Jin reunited with fans during the ‘2024 Festa’ for BTS’s 11th anniversary. He expressed his excitement for creating new content, saying, “A little hardship is okay. As long as ARMY [fandom name] enjoys it, what’s a bit of hardship?” However, when the plan to climb Mount Hallasan was confirmed, Jin seemed surprised by the challenge ahead.
Upon arriving at Mount Hallasan, Jin showed determination, stating, “Let’s just go all the way since we’ve started.” But soon he began to question the production team, asking, “How many more hours do you think it will take? I’m already exhausted. Am I the only one who wants to rest?”
As he continued to climb, Jin repeatedly asked fellow hikers, “How much farther is it to the summit?” “How many more minutes?” and “Is it still a long way?” After getting congratulations, support, and snacks from fans who recognized him, Jin took a moment to catch his breath.
However, the climb became increasingly difficult, and he confessed, “Director, I was wrong. I was so excited that I thought I could do anything.” He added, “I’m crazy. This is crazy. Please save me. I can’t do this anymore. Is this right?” This honesty brought laughter to viewers.
“Run Seokjin,” Jin’s solo content, will be released on July 13th. As BTS members are currently serving in the military, Jin is the first to return. J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook are expected to follow him.
