K-Pop Star Jihyo and Olympic Gold Medalist Yoon Sung-bin Sparking Dating Rumors
On March 25th, entertainment magazine Sway reported that Jihyo, leader of the popular K-Pop group TWICE, and former skeleton national representative Yoon Sung-bin have been dating for about a year.
The report claims the couple met through mutual acquaintances and their connection blossomed into a romance. Living just five minutes apart, they reportedly enjoy casual dates at each other’s homes and share a passion for exercise.
Previous Public Relationship for Jihyo
This wouldn’t be Jihyo’s first public relationship. In August 2019, she confirmed dating Kang Daniel, formerly of boy group WANNA ONE. Their relationship lasted a year and three months before ending in November 2020.
Chart-Topping Success with TWICE
Debuting as TWICE’s leader in October 2015, Jihyo has achieved immense popularity with the group’s numerous hit songs, including “Cheer Up,” “TT,” “Like Ooh-Ahh,” “LIKEY,” “What is Love?,” and “FANCY.”
Olympic Gold and Broadcasting Career for Yoon Sung-bin
Yoon Sung-bin made history at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics by becoming the first Asian to win the gold medal in men’s skeleton. After retiring as a national athlete in March 2023, he transitioned into broadcasting, appearing on MBC’s “I Live Alone.” Interestingly, Jihyo has also been a guest on the show, leading netizens to dub them the potential “I Live Alone Couple.”
JYP Entertainment, Jihyo’s agency, issued a cautious statement: “It is difficult to confirm as it is a private matter. We ask for your understanding.” Yoon Sung-bin’s side has yet to comment on the rumors.
