Singer BoA to Hold “BoA LIVE TOUR – BoA: One’s Own” (2024)
Singer BoA (37), who previously hinted at retirement, has confirmed that she will be holding a solo concert in October.
According to her agency SM Entertainment on the 28th, BoA will be holding the ‘BoA LIVE TOUR – BoA: One’s Own’ at the Seoul Olympic Park Handball Stadium on October 12-13.
First Concert in Nearly Two Years
This concert will be her first in about 1 year and 7 months since her 20th anniversary concert in March of last year.

Ticket reservations will be made through Melon Ticket. Fanclub pre-sales will open on the 5th of next month at 8:00 PM, and general sales will open on the 9th at 8:00 PM.

Increased Attention After Retirement Comments
BoA announced this fact herself on a live social media broadcast last month. The concert is her first since mentioning retirement, so it has garnered even more attention.
Overcoming Malicious Comments
In February, BoA appeared on the tvN show ‘My Husband Married Me’ and suffered from malicious comments criticizing her appearance.
Afterward, she posted on social media, “So I guess I can ‘retire’ once my contract is up, right?” This led to speculation that she was hinting at retirement. She then surprised fans by posting a correction, “I made a typo. ‘Retirement.'” The next day, she wrote, “My contract is until December 31, 2025. Until then, I will do my best as a singer BoA. Don’t worry. My love, Jumping.” (Jumping is the name of BoA’s fan club)
SM Takes Legal Action Against Harassment
SM has taken legal action against false information and defamation, appearance shaming, and sexual harassment of BoA, such as malicious posts and comments.
BoA’s Continued Activity
In March, BoA released her self-composed song ‘Emptiness’. She is also active as a producer for the SM Entertainment boy group ‘NCT WISH’.
