BTS’s V is gearing up to release his highly-anticipated solo album, “Layover,” and he’s been giving fans a few sneak peeks at what to expect.
In a recent interview with W Korea magazine, V said that the album will have a jazz influence. “I tried hard to bring out the jazz elements in a way that could appeal to the mainstream,” he said. “It’s music that would be best to listen to when the sun is setting, when you’re going on a drive, or when you’re on your way home from work.“
V also shared that he has been filming a lot of content to create many different windows of communication with ARMY. “I have a lot of content prepared that ARMY can watch when they’re bored,” he said. “I think I’ve been filming a lot of content to create many different ways to talk to ARMY.“
When asked if fans can expect to see the powerful side of BTS’s V in his upcoming solo debut, he replied, “No, I don’t think my upcoming solo album will show the powerful side of BTS’s V. It’s not really my style. I think V is special to me, but I wanted to try something different this time around, So I prepared a lot of new things.” I think V is special to me, but I wanted to show another side of me on my own. So I prepared a lot of new things.
V also sent a message to his band-mates as the last BTS member to release a solo album. He said, “I know now how hard the other members worked on their albums. It’s not easy, but it’s fun. I’m excited to show ARMY new sides of me. I hope they like it a lot.“
V’s solo debut album “Layover” will be released on September 8 at 1 p.m. KST.
