K-Pop and Hip-Hop took Coachella by storm this year. ATEEZ, LE SSERAFIM, Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae, and BIBI all delivered electrifying performances that lit up the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Diverse Lineup Takes the 88rising FUTURES Stage
According to their agency, Feel GHood Music, K-pop groups ATEEZ and LE SSERAFIM, along with hip-hop artists Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae, and BIBI (Kim Hyung-seo), all performed on the 88rising FUTURES Stage at the Coachella Mojave stage on April 14 (local time) in Indio, California. 88rising, a US-based label that introduces diverse Asian artists to the American audience, has been collaborating with Coachella every year to create a platform for Asian musicians to showcase their talents.
Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae: The Only Korean Hip-Hop Act at Coachella 2024
Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae held a special distinction at Coachella this year. They were the only Korean hip-hop artists invited to perform. Their set included both fan favorites and newer tracks. They kicked off their performance with “TOPLINE,” which gained global popularity with the K-pop group Stray Kids. They also treated the audience to “VOoDOo BOogie,” the soundtrack for the popular NBA 2K24 video game.
“The stage is always a happy place for me,” Tiger JK said. “I hope that when our set is over and we meet again next time, you’ll be as happy as I am now.”
BIBI Captivates the Coachella Crowd
Feel GHood Music reported that the crowd went wild during the Coachella version of their mega hit song “Monster,” with fans singing along to the song.
BIBI’s hit song “Bam Yang Gang” also took Coachella by storm. The crowd cheered as she appeared and she captivated the audience with her soulful rendition of “Bam Yang Gang” and the contrasting upbeat energy of “Sugar Rush.” She finished her set with a romantic duet with Jackson, a member of GOT7 and a solo artist.
“Yoon Mirae and BIBI once again solidified their global status by performing at Coachella for the second time in 2022,” Feel GHood Music said.
