Park Seo-joon attended the production presentation of tvN’s ‘Jinny’s Kitchen Season 2‘, which was broadcast live on the morning of June 28th.
Promotions and New Beginnings
This season, there is a major shakeup in the restaurant’s hierarchy thanks to CEO Lee Seo-jin’s bold decision. Jung Yu-mi takes on a new role as executive director, while Park Seo-joon steps into the position of senior managing director. Longtime intern Choi Woo-shik finally gets his promotion to deputy manager.
“I’ve been promoted. There’s nowhere else to go up,” Jung Yu-mi joked about her new position.
Park Seo-joon, embracing his new title, said, “This is Park Seo-joon, who came back from ‘Seo Jin’s Cutlery’ to contemplate his second act in life.” He chuckled as he continued, “I was very confused with the thought that I could live as a different profession.”
New Roles, New Experiences
The season offers a fresh twist with the cast’s roles rotating daily.
“What was really nice was that I could feel a new kind of fun because the roles rotate every day this season,” Park Seo-joon explained. “On the contrary, there was a sense of relief when I didn’t go into the kitchen. Since I’m in the kitchen and the hall differently every day, I think I’ve had an interesting experience of feeling the burden of the kitchen and the burden of the hall. I think it’s a strength that we can present different menus on that day,” he elaborated.
‘Jinny’s Kitchen Season 2’ follows the story of President Lee Seo-jin, a passionate advocate for gomtang (Korean oxtail soup), and his employees Jung Yu-mi, Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-shik, and newcomer Go Min-si as they navigate the challenges of running a Korean restaurant abroad. The new season premiered on Friday, June 28th at 8:40 PM KST.
