Shin Min Ah, the star of tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “No Gains, No Love,” which kicked off on the 26th, showed up at her ex-boyfriend’s wedding.
Her character, Son Hae Yeong, has this thing about avoiding losses because of her mom. Hae Yeong felt like she was always in her mom’s shadow because of her mom’s selfless ways, so she grew up wanting to make sure she never got the short end of the stick.

Even as an adult, Hae Yeong was all about calculating the right amount to spend on wedding gifts. She first thought 150,000 won would be fine for a college senior and former colleague. But after hearing how expensive the wedding meal was, she upped it to 300,000 won. She wasn’t too happy about it, saying, “Wedding gifts are supposed to be a give-and-take, but I feel like I’m only giving.” Even though she went to the wedding, she kept thinking about the gains and losses, seeing gifts as a sort of communal contribution.
However, the wedding turned out to be her ex-boyfriend’s. She expressed her surprise, saying, “I had no idea he was getting married just six months ago.” Her ex-boyfriend retorted, calling her a ’loser.’
While it looked like ’Hae Yeong’ had ended things on her own, it came out that her ex had been cheating on her. He was actually thrilled when ’Hae Yeong’ broke up with him, feeling like he had dodged a bullet.
