Watch trailer for the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series “The Acolyte” has been released, starring Lee Jung-jae as a Jedi Master.
Lee Jung-jae attended the “fifteenth Star Wars Celebration was held at the ExCel Centre” in London, England in April last year and announced that he would be playing the role of “Master Jedi.” He said, “I was so excited when I first held the lightsaber in the action scene.” He added, “I think it will be the most interesting story in Star Wars so far.”
Disney+ released the trailer on its official YouTube and Instagram accounts on March 20. The 1 minute and 45-second trailer begins with Lee Jung-jae’s voice. Lee Jung-jae, who plays the role of Jedi Master Sol, walks between young disciples dressed in long hair, uniforms, and bright cloaks. He says in English, “Close your eyes. The eyes sometimes show falsehoods. You shouldn’t believe everything you see.”
The trailer also shows Lee Jung-jae wielding a lightsaber and performing action scenes, walking through a snowstorm, and having a conversation with someone while sensing danger. The series is set 100 years before the events of the 1999 film “Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace.” It follows Lee Jung-jae’s character as he investigates a series of unprecedented Jedi murders. In the process, Lee Jung-jae will face off against a dangerous character (Amandla Stenberg) and showcase his lightsaber skills. Disney+ plans to release “The Acolyte” episodes 1 and 2 on June 4th in local time. It will be released on June 5th in Korean time.
